Presidio Heights

This house in Presidio Heights had been neglected for many years. Not a scrap of it’s original elegance remained on the inside.  Awkward progressions & unnecessary hallways divorced spaces from their essential communion. The remodel & addition restored the front facade & reconfigured interior spaces. Expansive windows, wide folding & sliding doors, & new rear terraces were added to take advantage of awe inspiring views of the Golden Gate Bridge. I designed a custom oak front door & garage door that pick up the detail of the original leaded windows.  I repeated the oak inside with a new large wood newel at the base of the stair – which I designed, drew & had printed at full scale for Kemal Custom Woodwork to use as a template. I also designed new wood balusters & intermediate newels for the interior stairs & a custom metal & glass stair railing (built by Solher Iron) for a stair leading to the lower level rooms.
